Sell more for more: Helping farmer associations meet quantity and quality standards

Author:
William Sparks and John Leary / ACDI/VOCA

Sell More For More (SMFM) is a programmatic approach that builds the capacity of local institutions to support farmer organizations. Through SMFM, farmer organizations (FOs) meet the quality and quantity demands of buyers and link poor households to income-generating formal markets. The entire Sell More For More program is delivered through local institutions. These local institutions have trained private firms (Tanzania), farmer organization unions (Ethiopia) and government agencies (Rwanda). This program was launched in Rwanda, and has recently expanded to Feed the Future activities in Tanzania and Ethiopia.
