Cameroon Local Capacity Development Facility: Kuma Market Fair Case Study
The market for technical and professional services in Cameroon is opaque and
disconnected. Its very existence goes unrecognized by most. Therefore it is very
difficult for rural businesses and organizations to access the knowledge they need to grow.
For technical and professional services to be delivered, producers, buyers, providers and financiers of services need to connect with each other. With support from SNV, LCDF organised a market fair for people working in non-wood forest products. The fair took place in the town of Kumba in South-West Cameroon, a cross-road for the
movement of non-wood forest products from production areas to national and
international markets making it a business hub for these products.
