Learning package now available
The LenCD Capacity Development Learning Package was launched on the LenCD website on 19 Dec 2011. It is an open resource on capacity development, developed through a partnership between LenCD and Train4Dev (now Learn4Dev) to address the learning needs of capacity development practitioners and as a resource for CD training facilitators.

Online course development
Work is now in progress to develop an online course based around the learning package. This will be a nine-week, highly interactive, tutor-led course designed for development professionals. The course will be designed and delivered by DiploFoundation with the active participation of a steering group representing LenCD and Learn4Dev. To avoid reliance on grant funding, the course will be operated on a semi-commercial basis: participants will pay a fee to cover the cost of running the course, but a sponsorship programme will be set up to ensure accessibility to a wide range of participants.
Work on course development is proceeding with the aim of opening the course to the first group of participants in September 2013.
